Blue Book file compilation, part 1

NICAP (USAF records) · 36 pages · text by OCR

This NICAP compilation of US Air Force Project Blue Book records covers the Exeter, New Hampshire sighting of 3 September 1965. It includes the Pease AFB initial report, Eighth Air Force details on the operation "Big Blast" B-47 flights, and letters from Patrolmen Eugene Bertrand and David Hunt disputing the aircraft explanation. There is also correspondence with John G. Fuller and a 1965 Pease AFB request for speakers. Blue Book listed the sighting as unidentified because no aircraft could be placed in the area at 0200.

Dear Mr. Fuller:

I am inclosing our file on the Exeter, New Hampshire, UFO sightings.

Our office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has not received a report on an observation at Emington, Dev Bempshire, on August 2, 1965. It is possible that a report was submitted to Peace Air Force Base and identified locally as a known natural or conventional object.

The photograph taken by Mr. Lunci of Beaver, Pennsylvania, was not turned over to the Air Force for evaluation.

Sincerely,

JOHN P. SPAULDING
