The Department of Defense All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) issued Volume I of its Historical Record Report in February 2024, reviewing U.S. government involvement with UAP since 1945. It found no evidence that any government investigation confirmed extraterrestrial technology, and no empirical evidence of hidden reverse-engineering programs. It says interviewee claims came from misidentified real classified programs or circular reporting. It also names KONA BLUE as an unapproved proposal and identifies an alleged crash sample as a terrestrial alloy.
