US Law US House of Representatives, Rep. Tim Burchett
The UAP Transparency Act is introduced (H.R. 8424)
On 16 May 2024 Rep. Tim Burchett, joined by Mr Moskowitz, Mrs Luna and Mr Burlison, introduced H.R. 8424, the UAP Transparency Act, in the US House of Representatives during the 118th Congress, and it was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Accountability. The bill would require the President, within 270 days of enactment, to direct each federal department or agency holding records on unidentified anomalous phenomena to declassify them and publish them on a public website. It would also require progress reports to the House Oversight and Senate Homeland Security committees within 360 days and quarterly thereafter, using the definition in section 1683 of the NDAA for Fiscal Year 2022.
