Thousands of pages of government UFO files are digitised and published

The release on file is attributed to Library and Archives Canada, and the document is an Internet Archive compilation dated 10 December 2015 of declassified Canadian UFO records. The text shown is drawn from National Research Council of Canada files (RG 77, Vol. 306): fireball and unidentified flying object reports from 1965 to 1968, sent by RCAF stations, rescue coordination centres and the RCMP to Canadian Forces Headquarters, the NRC Meteor Centre and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. The reports record sightings across Canada. An RCMP file on a 12 July 1968 incident at Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, concluded that the object was probably a meteorite and closed the file. The text does not give a date for the digitisation itself.
